You ask:  Why in the world would you start a business Now???    -Our goal is to establish a long and trusting relationship with you.  So, we thought to have a page that tells you a little bit about WHO we are, besides only an Appliance Technician/s and Office Worker/s, and how we came to be.

How ArchAngel Appliance Repair was Born:  Joe Young, owner, has worked in the appliance sales, repair, and installation industry for more than ten years and over that time has seen various aspects of how the business works; from mom and pop size businesses all the way up to major company businesses. He is a master technician and highly skilled at what he does.  Utilizing what he has learned and the experience he has gained, he is now able to provide a higher level of service to you at an affordable price by drawing upon all the different aspects of appliance repair business he has seen.  He has installed duct work, laid piping, installed and repaired both gas and electric appliances, and maintained a retail store.  He has seen every aspect of the appliance industry to include not only the technical aspects of repairing appliances but the behind scenes retail ones as well.  This makes him the perfect candidate to own an appliance repair business.

Kimberly, Joe's wife, is in charge of the office side of ArchAngel Appliance Repair.  She too has worked in many different arenas and is ready to tackle any problem you may have.  She has been a factory worker being cross trained in over twelve positions from computer assembly, mechanized soldering to shipment and fulfillment, has been a police officer and fire-fighter, has been an afterschool teacher, a salesperson selling vehicles, and last a framing coordinator assistant and self taught artist.  Providing 24 hour voice service, she stays on top of our business!

Many people have advised us to not start a business during such a bad economy but we know and believe that this is what God is leading us to do, and that God will provide for our family if we follow Him.  As a family managed company, we don't have huge overheads and we can operate our business with our own guidelines; Ones that we grew up on.  We set our own prices and are able to take better care of our customers, friends, and home. Our business has increased four fold since opening and we look forward to many more years of service to you and our community! 

  We are a Green Company.  Going green is both  cost-effective for you our customer but also smart for the environment.  We have come up with several Company Basics that will ensure that we start out on a "Green Foot".  Take a walk with us.  These are:

1.  ALL metal part leftovers & appliances will be taken to the metal recycling company and NOT the landfill.

2.  We as a company and family will do all we can to reduce paper, cardboard, and plastic waste and recycle all said wastes.

3.  We will route our calls in such a manner to reduce drive time- thereby reducing our carbon footprint made by our vans/truck.

4.  We will do all we can to spread the knowledge that consumers need not purchase new equipment every time their appliance has trouble.  A simple repair can many times fix the problem, be more cost effective and save the appliance from being trashed.  Also, keeping appliances running smoothly and in peak performance promotes better water consumption and g, electrical usage, and consumer appreciation and care for their appliance which in turn makes it perform for them longer.

Home Life:  We are the proud parents of seven children...  you could say we are almost the Brady Bunch!  We take pride in teaching the "old ways" of living.  We garden and work the land.  We spend a lot of time laughing with the kids and enjoying this Beautiful Earth!  We are also a Christ centered and believing family.  We are not always perfect and try to be first to admit when we are wrong.  In our spare time we take part in Civil War Reenacting, both Confederate and Union, and hold dear all things Historical.  Museums are another past time of ours as we enjoy visiting all kinds of museums oh and art galleries.  We love to study theology and other religions as well in our spare time.  Because we homeschool, Bible is studied daily in our home.  We have two eighth graders and one sixth grader homeschooling and are members of the Henderson County Homeschool Association.  We are also currently studying Judaism deeply and in relation to how it is the Foundation of our own Christianity or belief in Jesus.  Joe and his friends give speeches at schools about the Civil War and Life in general, how people lived a hundred years ago.  He loves to teach young folks, and feel that children are our legacy.  In the future he hopes to have more time outside of business to travel to Kentucky and volunteer with the coal miners.  Our heart and mission lies with them and so we hope the business grows to allow us to begin work there soon.  Kimberly paints folk art under her pen name Maw Bear.  You can see her works at http://www.mawbear.com/.  She is also teaching a girl's running group with HCHA currently and so if you have a homeschooling daughter whom is interested please feel free to call us to sign up.

We attend church at a little church up on Sugarloaf Mountain with our extended family, "In Jesus Name Church", and we love it there.  Family is important to us and we hope to meet and assist your family too.

So, here we are, and ArchAngel Appliance Repair has been born.  We look forward to helping you with all your appliance needs.  We look forward to becoming part of the community as a whole; being involved in supporting sports teams; being supportive of Nonprofit Societies; being Green and accountable to the Earth and God; etc.  We want to be a positive role model as well and it is our prayer that we will make the right decisions in how to accomplish all the above.  Please pray that we would stay on the right path as well too.  And,
