Think our drain pump went out today on our 7 yr old Frigidaire washer. Worth repairing, or should we take advantage of the last few hours of the tax free appliance wknd? Thx, ken

Ken, I enjoyed assisting you with your washer the other day. This was a great question for sure! Just so others know the answer, I personally believe that repairing is always better than purchasing new for two reasons. One, older models are built sound and worth a bit of an investment. The old saying, they just ain't built like they used to rings true here. You can keep an older model running longer. Two, purchasing a new model costs a lot of money versus a minor repair bill as well as puts your old model in a landfill... unless you recycle! So, I opt for repairing unless the cost of the repair outweighs the cost of purchasing new. Thanks again and I enjoyed my time spent with you immensely!
