Hi! I am replacing the heating element in my Kenmore electric dryer. The connection has a red wire and a red/striped wire. I do not know which was on the top plug and which was on the bottom. Thanks!

t does not matter which side of the element it goes on so long as you have both ends connected to maintain a proper flow... Do you have any wires unplugged from the thermostat? Usually the connections are side by side so your saying top and bottom doesn't register with me. Feel free to phone me during the day if you have more questions 828-693-7905 or you can get my cell number from the office. Thanks for your questions and Blessings ( Reply posted on September 02, 2009 )
