Kenmore bottom freezer refrigerator -evaporator coil in the freezer ices up, air doesn't circulate between frig & freezer. Frig doesn't cool. Need t deice coil to fix it -why and how prevent.

Hi Vicki, In order to fully answer your question I'd like to ask for your model number as well. But, without knowing it I can say that typically with Kenmore bottom freezer fridges it is the fan. Do you hear the fan in the freezer when you open the door? I can't tell you how many times I have fixed fans in Kenmore bottom freezers. The other thing it could be is the defrost heater or thermostat. I'd need to see it in person to tell you for sure. Hope that answers your questions.
