I recently went to a lady's home where her ice maker had caught on fire.  She decided to just go ahead and get a new refrigerator and donated the old one to us for our appliance donations service.  I placed the refrigerator with a happy family and voila, no problems.  Just because your ice maker catches on fire does not mean you necessarily have to buy a whole new refrigerator.  It could be that your fridge works fine, you just won't be able to make ice the easy way.  Consider this when this happens.  Give me a call and I can look at your fridge and see if you can save money by keeping that fridge!
