I have a GE Dryer. Was working fine up until this past weekend started not heating the clothes up anymore. I am wondering these things What do you think is wrong how much will cost to fix Is this a repair I can do Thanks- | |

First, it sounds like your heating element and or thermostat has gone out. We charge 90 usually to come repair this plus parts, right now we have a special going, $30 off, so it would be $60 labor and the parts price. I would need your model number for a for sure price on parts but I can tell you a heating element usually runs anywhere from 20-50 each and thermostats run 15-35 as well. I wouldn't recommend doing this repair on your own... there are many repairs that I feel the layperson can handle and I touch on those on my blog, ArchAngel Appliance Repair Tip Site on Blogger... but this is not one.
