Yes it does sound like its your belt. I have a video on here under the Dryer heading which shows how to open the Top of your dryer and get to your belt. Here is the link: http://www.archangelappliancerepair.com/apps/forums/topics/show/1 951958-change-dryer-belt-video It is a good idea to change your belt because of the age of your dryer. They are only about twelve dollars. If this does not fix your problem, write me back and let me know or give me a ring. I do feel you are right on this though. I can always come out and have a looksee if it doesn't fix the issue. And on another note, you are best to fix your dryer. Those old Sears Dryers will go and go. It's like my old Chevy Truck. They are easy to fix and work on. I wouldn't buy new right now... just a tidbit. Thanks and God bless Joe |
